Open and Updated

This kitchen had original cabinets that had been painted white. We kept the layout, but took everything out, including the framed soffit. Now the new white cabinets are taller providing increased storage space. The room was very compartmentalized and closed off. Taking the wall out between the rooms was not an option so we created a large pass through to the family room which opened up the sight lines and gave the kitchen a welcoming feel. The gray herringbone backsplash ties in the gray veins on the quartz countertop.
