Outdated to Outstanding
This kitchen was dark and dated, so we took everything out and started over. It’s amazing how bright and BIG it became!The shaker white cabinets around the perimeter go to the ceiling with a double stacked cove crown. The gas cooktop moved down so it has more space on either side for more comfortable cooking and prep work area. By eliminating the large framed-in pantry, we gained walkway space by the island. Design a “talls” wall with the new cabinet pantry, relocated refrigerator and added a micro/oven combo.
The gray stained island houses a wine cooler, deep pot and pan drawers and a double trash pull out, with niche seating on the back side.
The black and white chevron backsplash pulls all of the finishes together, accented by the black decorative hardware. We also refinished the floors with a rich provincial stain. Fresh paint everywhere, eliminating the once dark trim. New lighting illuminates this kitchen so well and provides unobstructed views. Every detail was considered, like lowering and turning the receptacles horizontally. What a spectacular new kitchen!
